Agrisolar AU Newsletter #3
Welcome back to AgrisolarNews ☀️
In this month’s issue, please find a recap of our whole-of-CRC-bid workshop, a reminder on important dates to save, and a couple more spotlights on some foundational partners!
Foundational Partner Spotlight: Super Hectare
A partnership between Cygnus Agriculture and Graphite Energy, with additional members, Super Hectare is based in Lake Cargelligo NSW on a broadacre farm. Seeking circularity implementation in all its forms, SuperHectare have already installed the frame for a fixed east-west solar array, under which they intend to grow a biomass crop. A shade trial has already commenced, next step: panels on top!
Thanks for coming to our industry & research workshop!
Last week, we gathered most of our prospective partners together at the wonderful Parramatta City Campus of Western Sydney University for a full day of discussion and planning.
We welcomed distinguished industry guests from far and wide, exceptionally enthusiastic research partner participants, and even our Academic Director, Prof Ben Smith, via video-link all the way from Sweden. Totalling a group of 50+ representatives, we worked through the current bid progress, gathered insights on the industry challenge before us, and further co-designed our research priorities, before a wonderful networking lunch and project planning session in the afternoon
Thank you so much to everyone who attended and lent your thinking caps to us so keenly! If you couldn’t make it and would like to catch up with a member of the bid team, please reach out to us.
